Maltese hunters are visiting public schools giving pseudo-educational lectures

Further part of its actions to make our society dumber, more vile and banal, the Ministry of Education has enabled the Maltese hunters and trappers organisation, FKNK, to tour public schools and give pseudo-educational lectures.

The FKNK is one of Malta’s most parasitic organisations, and it is also opposed the Opposition’s proposal to entrench constitutional provision for the protection of our environment and ecosystems. The organisation lobbies for the hunting and trapping of birds: trapping is illegal in the EU but the FKNK are conducting it on the fraudulent pretense of research. None of them are actual researchers and the “cultural” aspect behind their tradition is also just a fake pretense: the members of FKNK are the last people in Malta who would even care or bother about Maltese culture – these are men who think it is acceptable to shoot guns at living beings as a recreational outlet. If there were deer or other wild animals in Malta they would have massacred them.

In fact, Maltese hunters are now being renown for actively pursuing hunting touristic activities in places like Sicily, Cyprus and Egypt were many birds are being massacred senselessly. This is not passion for tradition – this is just literal madness and these men need to be sent to the mental asylum.

Children in public schools are being forced to assume that crass cruelty and fraud are normal in society.

I don’t see the connection between falconers and bird killers. The former raise and tame birds, while the latter kill themโ€”including those raised by falconersโ€”on a regular basis.
โ€‹It is high time the loopholes in animal cruelty laws are closed. There is a glaring cognitive dissonance in a society that expresses outrage over the torture of cats, yet consistently votes in favor of slaughtering birds during their spring migration.
