Malta with one of the lowest minimum wages in the EU: €994 per month

According to the latest Eurostat figures, Malta has one of the lowest minimum wages in the EU with just €994 per month.

The highest minimum wages are found in Luxembourg (€2 704), followed by Ireland (€2 391) and Germany (€2 343). The EU countries with the lowest minimum wages are  Bulgaria (€620), followed by Latvia (€780) and Romania (€795).

The only countries without a national minimum wage are Denmark, Italy, Austria, Finland and Sweden.

Malta is one of the eight countries in the EU with a minimum wage below €1000.
