In Spain, several regions have been severely hit including Cádiz, Málaga, Córdoba and Galicia. Thousands were evacuated from their homes in Spain and one woman is still missing: she was swept away by the Turvilla River while trying to rescue her dog.

Thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes both in Portugal and Spain and thousands of properties have been damaged with rain and heavy winds. Rivers and streets remain flooded.

Multiple dams in Portugal and Spain have been opened for discharge due to excess capacity.
