St. Lawrence Spurs maintain lead as Sannat Lions dominate Oratory Youths

The GFA BOV Gozo Football League 2nd Division continued its Matchday 10 action at the Kercem Stadium on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, with significant results impacting the top of the table.

Sannat Lions delivered a devastating first-half performance to brush aside Oratory Youths. The match was effectively settled within the opening 20 minutes following an extraordinary four-goal blitz. Tristan Grech opened the scoring in the 12th minute, followed immediately by strikes from Aaron Azzopardi (16’), Paul Said (17’), and Igor Nedeljkovic (18’). Kieran Calleja added a fifth just after the hour mark (61’), before Aroldo Da Silva Arruda (Aroldinho) grabbed a late consolation for Oratory in the 86th minute.

In a crucial clash for the promotion race, St. Lawrence Spurs secured all three points against Gharb Rangers to remain at the summit of the standings. Felipe Augusto De Oliviera was the protagonist for the Spurs, netting early in the 12th minute and later sealing the win in the 79th. Gabriel Debrincat had doubled the lead in the 18th minute.

Gharb Rangers attempted a comeback when Daniel Farrugia pulled a goal back in the 74th minute, but De Oliviera’s second goal shortly after ended any hopes of a turnaround.
