Yesterday, as we tried to identify the yacht purchased by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates which was paid through via transaction from Malta, we found various profiles of yachts named “Starfire”. We uploaded a link to a Starfire-named vessel flagged by the Cayman Islands because Jeffrey Epstein’s email said that they wanted to change the vessel’s registration address to the Cayman Islands. However, this was not the vessel that was purchased by Jeffrey Epstein and his friends.
The actual vessel purchased was the Starfire (IMO: 1005734) produced by Benetti. You can see details about it here. We could identify the actual vessel via the captain whom Jeffrey Epstein mentions in his correspondence when discussing the vessel. The captain is Carl Sputh. The images are listed below. The yacht is 54 metres in length and is currently flagged by Saint Vincent & Grenadines. It is currently berthed in San Diego, California.
Rob Maas has also been identified and is a maritime lawyer based in Florida.
We also contacted the Benetti agent in Malta, Niki Travers Tauss and inquired about the yacht and said that they were had never any relation or connection with the yacht.
The yacht was purchased by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates Richard Joslin and Leon Black via a transaction from Malta.
