Moviment Graffitti leads protest in Valletta for Eurovision boycott

Earlier today, Moviment Graffitti lead a protest in Valletta urging the authorities and the public broadcaster to boycott the Eurovision Song Contest over Israel’s participation. The group is arguing that Israel should not be allowed to participate for its genocide in Gaza in Gaza just as Russia has been refused participation over its invasion of Ukraine.

The Maltese public broadcaster has refused the call for boycott and is to go ahead with plans to participate in the song contest.

A number of countries are boycotting this year’s Eurovision over Israel’s participation including Ireland, Iceland, Spain and Slovenia and the Netherlands.

Video of the full protest can be watched here.
