Nevin Portelli brace stuns Spartans as Mosta claim shock victory

In one of the most significant upsets of the season, bottom-of-the-table Mosta produced a defensive masterclass and clinical finishing to defeat Hamrun Spartans 2-1 at the National Stadium on Sunday. The result has massive implications at both ends of the table, ending the Spartans’ hopes of moving level with Floriana at the summit.
