Malta National Team Head Coach Emilio De Leo has confirmed his final 26-man squad ahead of the decisive UEFA Nations League play-off clashes against Luxembourg, with promotion to League C at stake.
The tie will be played over two legs, with the first match scheduled for Thursday, 26 March at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium. The return leg will take place in Luxembourg City on Tuesday, 31 March. Both fixtures will kick off at 18:00.
De Leo will be without defender James Carragher, who has been ruled out after failing to fully recover from injury. The decision was taken in agreement with his club, with the Malta FA supporting the playerโs need to focus on regaining full fitness.
Supporters are being encouraged to attend the home fixture and get behind the national team in what promises to be a pivotal encounter.
