Yesterday, EU Executive Vice-President for Cohesion and Reforms Raffaele Fitto visited Malta and met with the Prmie Minister and Deputy Prime Minister at the Auberge de Castille. He also visited the EU Commission Representation in Malta and thanked its employees including head of the Commission’s unit in Malta, Maria Elena Despott.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ian Borg said that the discussion with the Vice-Commission President revolved around EU Cohesion Policyย for Malta and peripheral regions, strengthening connectivit5y and competitiveness. They also discussed the Multiannual Financial Framework which includes Malta’s contributions to the EU.
The visit follows another visit by Vice-Commission President Henna Virkkunen.
