Qormi Daikin were crowned hockey league champions for the 2025/26 season after completing the campaign in style with a commanding 10-0 victory over White Hart in their final fixture.
Kyle Micallef led the scoring with four goals, while Tommy Kok added a hat-trick. Further strikes from Luke Fsadni, Luke Bajada and Juan Sarcia completed an emphatic performance as Qormi secured their 17th league title.
Following the match, the championship trophy was presented in the presence of HAM president David. The game was officiated by umpires Karl Chircop and Silvio Peralta.
Qormi Close in on Hockey 7s Title
Qormi Daikin also moved to within one point of clinching the Hockey 7s championship after defeating Floriana Young Stars 6-2.
Julian Zahra was the standout performer with a hat-trick, while Wyatt Magri scored twice and Nicole Zammit added the other goal. Joe Ellul Turner and Mark Camilleri replied for Floriana Young Stars.
The match officials were Alessandro Amore and Silvio Peralta.
ลปurrieq Wolves Defeat Marsascala Heat
In another Hockey 7s fixture, GREE ลปurrieq Wolves Hotsticks beat Marsascala Heat 6-2.
Goals for ลปurrieq came from David Vella Dingli, Daniel Ellul, Gary Bonnici and Jayden Cutajar, while Jerome Carabott and Kyron Carabott scored for Marsascala Heat.
Karl Chircop and Silvio Peralta were the umpires for the match.
Marsascala Heat Confirmed Under-12 Champions
Marsascala Heat were also confirmed as Under-12 champions despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Floriana Young Stars.
Jan Agius scored for Marsascala, while Craig Camilleri was on target for Floriana Young Stars.
Oscar Toledano and Alessandro Amore officiated the match.
