Mazzotta names Malta Under-21 Squad for Moldova Friendly and Training Camp

Davide Mazzotta has announced a 31-player squad for the upcoming Malta national under-21 football team training camp, which will take place over late May and early June.

The training camp forms part of the national teamโ€™s continued preparations as Mazzotta and his coaching staff work on further developing the squad and integrating emerging talent into the Under-21 setup.

As part of the programme, Malta Under-21s will also play an international friendly away from home against the Moldova national under-21 football team. The match is scheduled for June 4 at the Municipality Stadium in Orhei, Moldova, with kick-off set for 18:00 CET.

The fixture is expected to provide the young Maltese side with another valuable opportunity to gain international experience and continue their development following the conclusion of the domestic season. It will also allow the coaching staff to closely assess the players in a competitive environment ahead of future commitments.

One of the notable aspects of Mazzottaโ€™s provisional selection is the inclusion of five players currently playing abroad in England, Italy and the United States, highlighting the growing number of Maltese youngsters gaining experience overseas.
