In a press release, the Department of Information announced that Prime Minister Robert Abela appointed a team of Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries with the experience, competence, and commitment required to continue leading the country forward.
Several Ministers retained portfolios held during the previous legislature while assuming additional responsibilities. Others, including several former Parliamentary Secretaries, have been appointed to new ministerial roles. Two Parliamentary Secretaries will support Ministers in delivering the Government’s priorities.
The composition of the Cabinet reflects the Government’s commitment to implementing the electoral programme endorsed by the Maltese people, with a strong focus on economic prosperity and investment in quality of life. While remaining dedicated to sustaining robust economic growth, the Government will prioritise measures that make people’s lives easier, better, and more fulfilling.
The allocation of ministerial responsibilities also reflects the Government’s key priorities, including the digital sector, housing, mobility, and the regeneration of communities across Malta and Gozo.
