The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta (ASA) has officially announced the athlete selections for the upcoming U18 and U20 Women’s National Water Polo Teams. Both squads face a busy and highly competitive summer on the international stage, flying the Maltese flag at major European and global tournaments.
U20 Squad Bound for European Championships in Lisbon
The U20 Women’s National Team is gearing up to compete in the European Women’s Water Polo Championships. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Lisbon, Portugal, running from July 31 to August 8, 2026.

U18 Squad Set for World Championships in Tenerife
Following the conclusion of the U20 tournament, the spotlight will shift to the U18 Women’s National Team. The younger age-group selection has been tasked with representing the nation at the prestigious World Women’s Water Polo Championships.
This global showcase will be held in Tenerife, Spain, between August 16 and 23, 2026, offering Malta’s rising athletes a massive platform to benchmark their development against the world’s elite water polo nations.
