Government MP Omar Farrugia has yesterday made a statement in support of Vanessa Frazer following her spat with Israel’s UN representative Danny Danon. He also deposited her report in Parliament.
Omar Farrugia quoted the report and said that the UN recorded 35,000 cases of children hit by violence in war including deliberate attacks on school. Somalia, Haiti, Ukraine and Palestine are places where these violations are taking place addressing Israel’s and Russia’s war crimes. He said that these violations are unacceptable and human rights should be upheld everywhere and at all time.
He commended the work of the UN and Vanessa Frazer and urged her to continue with her work. He then concluded by saying that the only people that should remain silent are those violating the rights of children.
Opposition MP Adrian Delia also continued in the same vein and offered his solidarity to Vanessa Frazer.
