Power cuts hit again as mercury soars to record levels

Several localities including Mellieha, Birkirkara, Iklin, Swatar, Lija, Mgarr and San Gwann have reported power cuts over the past hours. It is going to be a long night for thousands of residents as the mercury continues to soar with a maximum of 42 degrees expected tomorrow.

The Energy Minister appears to be missing in action once again with complete silence from that end. The Enemalta website is also not showing any faults at present.
