Russia has struck the Latvian Honorary Consulate in the city of Sloviansk, Ukraine with guided aerial bombs, in an attack on the city which left at least five killed and nine others injured.
This is not the first time that Russia has targeted diplomatic buildings in Ukraine as it continued to escalate its airstrikes against civilian targets throughout its war on Ukraine.
The European Council President condemned the attack, describing it as unacceptable. Malta also affirmed its support for Latvia and Ukraine, over the attack, acknowledging the attack was conducted by Russia.
