The Labour Party has a network of gay and progressive supporters who are usually fired up with anger when someone from the Nationalist Party says something inappropriate or acts against their rights, but they often remain silent about the same kind of behaviour by Labour MPs.
Labour MP Michael Falzon attended a fundraising marathon last Sunday organised by an anti-abortion group called Life Network Foundation Malta. The group was also provided with public funds during his tenure as Social Policy Minister.
Under the Labour government and Prime Minister Robert Abela’s tenure, the number of women being prosecuted for abortion has been increasing.
