Malta claimed their second victory at the World Aquatics Men’s U16 Water Polo Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, after defeating South Africa 9-5 in their fourth match of the tournament.
The Maltese side produced another disciplined display, controlling the contest for long periods to record a comfortable four-goal win.
Jake Simpson starred with a hat-trick, while Luca Schiavone added two goals. Matt Fenech, Benji Schranz, Jake Abela Meli and Benji Lewis also got on the scoresheet with one goal each.
