In a reply to Mykhailo Fedorov’s post announcing that Starlink services to the UAF were being restored, Elon Musk said that Starlink is not responsible for providing services to the UAF. Musk said that this provision of services is exclusively managed by the US military and “ultimately the President”.
He did not deny that Starlink services to the UAF were disrupted. Musk added that Starlink’s use is limited to civilian and defensive purposes and not offensive purposes “as doing so would be inappropriate for a commercial company”.
Starlink enables the effective use of Ukrainian drones against the Russian army in Ukraine but is not used for the attacks on Russian territory.
