President Zelensky puts his trust in Marco Rubio after Trump goes full pro-Putin

In a statement published around an hour ago, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had spoken with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the phone and trusted him to support Ukraine over urgent issues that have emerged following Donald Trump’s full pro-Putin turn.

In his statement, the Ukrainian President reiterated that the Starlink service in Ukraine is still disrupted. He also urged intelligence sharing and the provision of anti-ballistic missile interceptors.

While in Uzbekistan, Secretary Rubio once again denied that the US government or the White House had restricted Starlink’s service to Ukraine. He also reiterated that the US was still providing intelligence sharing to Ukraine. US President Donald Trump made the same denials.

According to the latest reports from Ukraine, Starlink’s service is still restricted. It is also unclear yet to what extent the US has cut intelligence sharing with Ukraine.

President Trump sang the praises of Vladimir Putin yesterday and once again condemned President Zelensky for refusing to capitulate.

Meanwhile, Russia keeps pounding Ukrainian cities and civilians with drones and ballistic missiles with ever-increasing intensity, hoping it will terrorise the Ukrainian population into capitulating as it falters on the front lines.
