Usually, Mediterranean events are events that involved both Europe and Africa – Southern Europeans and North Africans, mainly Arabs.
The Maltese government is organising a South European Film Festival but is calling it a “Mediterranean Film Festival”.
We’re also using a British actor to promote the “Mediterranean Film Festival”.
Some would say it’s cringe-worthy, but it’s all so very humiliating for someone who works in the local culture industries. I can’t until we have a normal government and all this crap is cut out.
