Parliament before Cabinet – the new Robert Abela legislative procedure

Incredible. Robert Abela has just re-invented the legal procedure without telling anyone in advance about it.

He is going to table a law in parliament before presenting it to his cabinet. So, instead of having the law discussed in the cabinet, first, he is going to discuss it with the Opposition before presenting it to his colleagues for final approval.

This is an incredible turn of events for Malta’s legislative procedure. Legal experts and professors are in awe.

    Why are you surprised? Cabinet is merely a rubber-stamp to what Bobby wants – made up only of spineless opportunistic jelly-fish. Tipo Clayton Bartolo, Aaron Farrugia and Byron Camilleri.
