More history of corruption by Pope Michael Falzon

I’m glad I have readers who take care of reminding me of previously well-known events because there is too much to keep up with. Readers may remember that Michael Falzon made his debut as a minister in Joseph Muscat’s administration with a corruption scandal. The scandal involved the purchase of a property from Mark Gaffarena who bought the property knowing in advance that the government was to purchase it later on. Mark Gaffarena made a profit of ย€685,000 from the sale of the property apart from several parcels of land rewarded to him by the government. Mark Gaffarena was informed in advance of the government deal by an employee of Michael Falzon’s secretariat Clint Scerri. Clint Scerri also happens to be the brother of Rainer Scerri.

Let’s also not forget that Falzon received a lucrative push from BOV, which in 2013 was turning into a Labour Party Club!
