The Doom and Slayer songs are for the dangerous battles he was involved in at sea. Blondie’s song is for his wife, the QOTSA song is for his cocaine consumption, San Quentin is for his prison time in Spain and the Irish rebel song is for when he fought the British in Buenos Aires.
