Conrad Borg Manche resigns from the Labour Party

As expected, Labour Party G?ira mayor and environmental activist, Conrad Borg Manche has resigned from the Labour Party.

Conrad Borg Manche led the fight by G?ira residents and NGOs to keep Manoel Island accessible to the public after access was blocked by its owners, MIDI. He has also fought against the expansion of a fuel station into a public park owned by one of Robert Abela’s clients who is now being represented by Labour Party President, Ramona Attard.

Conrad Borg Manche was one of the very few principled Labour Party politicians who stood for something and provided a public service. He was one of the last Labour Party rebels who actually stood for something but Robert Abela is ensured to fight him out of the Labour Party. Robert Abela’s preferred candidate to take over Cornad’s Labour constituency from his district is Rebecca Butti?ie?.
