The far-left will go to absurdist extremes to make sure that it proves its antisemitism and hatred for the Jews. Some executive committee members of the Malta Gay Rights Movement are also members of Moviment Graffitti, and like many in the far-left, they also share a deep hatred for the Jews.
When Netta Barzilai, the Israeli singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest was scheduled to sing in Malta for the Euro Pride Events, MGRM boycotted her performance and condemned her Israeli’s Apartheid State. Strange, because in Malta we have hosted and organised many cultural events by Russian oligarchs, yet, despite Russia being an imperialist and homophobic state which literally criminalises gay people, MGRM never conducted boycotts for Russian events in Malta. Why is Israel always being single-out by the far-left? this question is rhetorical because by now, I have answered it many times.
The far-left in Malta hates the Jews so much that it doesn’t even want to accredit them for being the only single state in the Middle East that guarantees rights for LGBT people. I assume, that MGRM being an organisation focused on gay rights, should be more concerned about the fact that being gay in Gaza would definitely get you thrown away dead from a rooftop by Hamas’ religious police, while in Israel you can even hold a gay parade without getting blown up. Apparently, MGRM is more concerned about the “Israeli Apartheid State”.
Mind you, it is okay to receive funds from a criminal government that murders journalists and covers up for hard criminals, and we’ll even ingratiate with Labour MPs for some nice photo-ops and propaganda, but there is no way we’ll ever compromise by listening to a gay Israeli singer in Malta.
