Yesterday, Albert Zerafa and Prime Minister’s Robert Abela brother-in-law had lunch with Christian Borg at a restaurant in Merchants Street, Valletta. Albert Zerafa is Christian Borg’s lawyer after Robert Abela dropped his brief when he became Prime Minister.
Joseph Camenzuli has been saying openly and publicly to his friends that Christian Borg is protected by Robert Abela himself and so far both the Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa and the Attorney-General have been very successful in covering up for him. The police have extensive evidence on Christian Borg’s money laundering practices and they can easily prosecute him, but Attorney-General Victoria Buttigieg has been needlessly delaying the prosecution of Christian Borg by putting spokes in the wheels of the case in any way possible. So, once again, given that the Police Commissioner and the Attorney-General are covering up for one of Malta’s biggest cocaine dealers, it had to be Jason Azzopardi to file a request for a magisterial inquiry.
Christian Borg is being protected because if arrested he would spill the beans on Prime Minister Robert Abela who as his lawyer used to launder his cocaine proceeds, such as when Robert Abela cut an insider trading deal with Borg through the Planning authority during the time when Robert Abela was a lawyer to the Planning Authority. There are at least two criminal acts that deal with that alone: money laundering, insider trading through a public institution, and misuse of public information and resources for personal gain. The crime is aggravated because the money laundered came from the proceeds of cocaine sales. However, this is just one specific case that we know of. Christian Borg’s revenues as a cocaine dealer ran to six-figure levels and Robert Abela had plenty of money to launder for him. If Christian Borg is canned, he will be screaming Robert Abela’s name like a pitiful baby.
