Following reports that Robert Aquilina is being targeted I would like to pronounce my full solidarity with my friend. Like Jason Azzopardi, Robert Aquilina is filling a huge void in our justice system by putting pressure on dysfunctional authorities to investigate and prosecute politicians for their gross acts of corruption and criminality. It’s actually remarkable that there are still people like him who would dedicate themselves fully to the cause against organised crime in politics. I’m very appreciative of his work and other members of NGO Repubblika.
Both Joseph Muscat and Yorgen Fenech have teams of paid personnel to do their dirty work for them such as propaganda and dissemination of disinformation. There are also plenty of criminals connected with and to them who feel threatened by the work of Robert Aquilina and others like him. Then there are the lunatics and the obsessed. On top of this, organised criminals enjoy the protection of the authorities and the Prime Minister himself.
Supposedly, in a normal country, Robert Aquilina wouldn’t need to exist as an activist, but we’re stuck at this stage with an organised criminal group in government as of now.
