I’m very glad that Slavoj Zizek is pitching, so far, the only rational discourse on Israel and Palestine from the left which contrary to him, is growing ever more antisemitic. Here in his latest interview, he confirms some of my views, mainly that Hamas has jeopardised the peace process and given more power to the Israeli far-right. Zizek also makes an important point that I failed to mention that just before Hamas perpetrated their terroristic attacks, Israel was going through an internal political battle against its right-wing forces – a battle which has been cut short by Hamas at the expense of progressive Israeli forces.
Talk about the greatest suicide in history: and Hamas is even proud of it.
