Today, the image of Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech was plastered on the front page of the Times of Malta like one of Malta’s most wanted criminals. Times of Malta has covered the same story covered here about the Magistrate pressuring a client to plead guilty.
Here’s some things that the Magistrate said in her court and in front of everyone else to another defendant as she pressured him to plead guilty and not to present his defense.
“Tlaqna sal-Festa ta’ San Gejtanu, zinc, zinc, zin.”
“Ma tafx a?na sikkina?”
“Kemm ?a naqb?u l-?add filg?odu, l-?amrun fil-mar? ta’ San Gejtanu XXXX (name of defendant)”.
And this one to a police inspector.
“Jien naf iktar minnek x’hemm u x’mhemmx Spettur, g?ax jien nag?mel il-?urisprendenza fuq il-money laundering.”
Another one to another police inspector when she subtly asked whether Konrad Mizzi with, whom she allegedly dined with, was going to be arrested.
“Allura g?ada maltemp ?a jun Spettur?”
