Breaking: the Chamber of Advocates to discuss Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech

Today, the Chamber of Advocates will meet to discuss Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech and potentially take a position regarding her resignation. Previously, lawyers were very afraid of speaking out against him given the repercussions they would have faced by alienating her and potentially losing all the cases they would have in her court.

However, Magistrate Donatello Frendo Dimech was recently challenged by lawyer Edward Gatt over her mishandling of evidence and recently, a lawyer even testified against her in court. Now, a number of lawyers want her removed from the judiciary altogether and this campaign won’t stop until she is eventually made to leave.
