Updated: a magisterial inquiry is recommending criminal prosecution against WasteServ’s CEO over Joseph Ellul’s death

Updated. In Malta, someone always has the answer. Following my post earlier this morning, Jason Azzopardi published a Facebook post where he uploaded the conclusion of a magisterial inquiry on the death of Joseph Ellul. The inquiry concluded that WasteServ’s CEO Richard Bilocca has to be arraigned in court over criminal charges along with other WasteServ executives. None of the individuals have been arraigned in court so far and it is up to the Attorney-General’s responsibility to issue a bill of indictment.

Has the OHSA actually completed its investigation on the death of Joseph Ellul at Wasteserv’s incinerator plant in Marsa? It’s been more than a year since the OHSA has said it has been investigating the case but we haven’t heard of anything since then and no arraignments in court were made.
