We used to genuinely ask each other, “How is he still alive?”
Well, he’s dead now, and he doesn’t need any obituaries. The man was one of the most overrated figures of the last century and his contributions and legacies will remain limited to obituaries in the press by his misguided students. But, yes, there’s China – as if his presence would have made any difference about the inevitable. I’m sure that Xi Jinping would want to attend his funeral; what a great honor it is to have bestowed upon you after your death.
Henry Kissinger is responsible for many crimes, such as the totally unnecessary carpet bombing of Cambodia which killed hundreds of thousands of people.
