Rarely if ever have I encountered a “fighting force” that is so inconsiderate towards the people that it is supposed to protect and fight for as Hamas. Hamas is more of a death cult than a resistance movement and its leaders who are living comfortably in hotels are not ashamed of admitting to sacrificing their people for their cause. According to one of their latest press conferences, their cause has more to do with dying for the sake of resistance than to achieve any material and tangible goal. Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque are mentioned more and with bigger importance than the occupation of the West Bank.
So, it should come as no surprise that the death-loving Hamas leadership in Gaza has built tunnels for themselves but left their people to die on the surface. They seem to have equipped their private tunnel with quite some luxuries as well.
Many of these Hamas military leaders have been killed in the current action.
