Venezuela issues arrest warrants against its opposition figures and prepares for war

While Venezuela prepares for war against Guyana, the Venezuelan attorney general has just issued arrest warrants for Venezuela’s most popular opposition politicians. The opposition figures who are wanted by the police are Juan Guaidó, Henry Alviarez, Claudia Macero, Roberto Abdul, Pedro Urruchurtu, Yon Goicoechea, David Smolansky, Carlos Vecchio, Lester Toledo, Leopoldo López.

Brazil is providing some military aid to Guyana and Guyana’s President Mohamed Irfaan Ali has reached out to the US for help. He has also issued a video appeal of help for his country invoking international law.

Maduro is emitting some serious Saddam Hussein vibes, even as his face and head look similar to his, but what’s ironic in this is that according to some on the left, Venezuela was supposed to be “anti-imperialist”.
