This is incredibly interesting. I’ve just learned that the Maltese bus has been featured in a Wojak short story written and produced by Zero Budget Stories. You can see the video below.
Wojak was originally created by Polish artist Christian Grodecki, but eventually, was appropriated by the world of crypto that turned him into a cultural icon of its own. Another fictional character that has also been appropriated by the world of crypto is called Pepe who was originally created by Matt Furie. Both the characters of Wojak and Pepe have grown in character and had their stories developed and told by the world of crypto. Matt Furie and Christian Grodecki have basically, had their art and characters stolen from them without having ever been compensated for the money that other artists made off their characters. This is important to point out when speaking of these characters.
One of the most popular derivatives of Wojak in the world of crypto is produced by ZeroBudgetStories and published on Youtube who, around four months ago, produced a story and a video featuring an old Maltese bus. The video has had one million views. It’s interesting how the artist, who is most probably from the US, knows about these buses and I may even ask him.
