An expert source privy to the investigations on the death of Karl Muscat reached out to me and said it was not news to him to read that some police officers genuinely hated Karl Muscat. In fact, he reminded me that none of the police officers whom he had worked with in his career had even attended his funeral. No official representative from the Police was sent to the funeral, either.
The source, who is also very familiar with similar types of investigations, and is also an expert in the field, has also told me that the investigation into his death was made rapidly and had many shortcomings, with clearly, the Police showing no interest in learning and knowing further.
Update: the only Police officers present were former Inspector Anthony Scerri and Inspector Shaun Paul Fri??ieri. Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa was not present and no official Police representative was present. Present at the funeral were Judge Aaron Bugeja and Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech.
