We all know that the previous taxman, Marvin Gaerty has been to Las Vegas with Christian Borg. Yesterday’s story on this website about Keith Schembri revealing confidential police information to Yorgen Fenech led me to another story of public interest. Keith Schembri’s message to Yorgen Fenech was about a case of a Qatar resident whom the courts had found to have abused the Interpol and the local courts’ system to go after some Maltese individuals over some investments he had lost on his behalf. These Maltese individuals were found to have been cleared by the courts and the documentation about the case is public, and at this stage, this part of the story is not relevant.
What’s more important is that when Interpol issued a notice and looked for Matthew Bonello (unnecessarily), coincidentally, Michael Bonello had been holidaying in Sicily with the local taxman, Marvin Gaerty. Apparently, Marvin Gaerty’s trip with Christian Borg was not unique or an exception: Marvin Gaerty used to go on holidays with many Maltese businessmen to many different places.
Michael Bonello runs Alliance Real Estate Group and as of lately, has been participating in Malta’s “Shark Tank”.
