Joyce Dimech has been appointed Permanent Secretary to the Home Affairs Ministry and leaves her role at the Ministry of Culture

Joyce Dimech has officially been approved as the Permanent Secretary of Home Affairs after having been in the role of a caretake following Emanuel Psaila’s resignation. Shee has given up her role as Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Culture and Local Government. Joyce Dimech was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Gozo for nine years under Minister Anton Refalo. She has been replaced at the Ministry for the National Heritage, the Arts, and Local Government by Kevin Mahoney. The Permanent Secretaries listย has just been updated accordingly.

  1. Kevin Mahoney has years of experience and knowledge of migration and home affairs issues.. why send him to National Heritage? Why put someone with 0 knowlegde on this matters just when a crucial migration package has been agreed in the EU and needs implementation in the coming years?

    There is only one conclusion to come to.
