The UK and the US bomb Houthi positions in Yemen and the Red Sea: RAF jets leave from Cyprus

The US and UK have bombed Houthi positions in Yemen and the Red Sea across the night with Royal Air Force fighter jets leaving from the British base in Akrotiri, Cyprus. The Houthis have blocked the Red Sea for container shipping in what is supposed to be a war that would help pressure Israel to stop its war on Gaza. Various merchant and commercial ships including British and American ones were targeted and hostages of various nationalities were taken including Greeks and Filipinos. There are also unconfirmed reports that the Houthi airforce which comprised of a couple of jets has been destroyed.
