Rather than shaming independent journalists for starting their business, Saviour Balzan should start paying decent salaries to his staff

Today, Saviour Balzan tried to shame me for being a young entrepreneur trying to get a loan for my business from my friends. I’m very proud of what I am building and of my independence. The starting salary for anyone who works for me is €10 per hour, well above the minimum wage in Malta and so far I have an employee.

Saviour Balzan’s media business which is funded by his schemes with multi-millionaires and large payments from the government pays his staff dirt-low wages. This is a contract for a journalist with MaltaToday starting at €7.5 per hour.
