Steve Ellul’s electoral campaign seems to be heavily funded – but we don’t know from whom

This is Steve Ellul’s one of the first-ever political campaign events. The event has been organised with a tent that costs at least €10,000 to rent out, an HD big screen, chairs, printed boards, and much more. Anyone paying commercially for such a type of event would have easily spent €25,000.

As usual, we will never get the full disclosure of the donations made to the Labour Party for its electoral campaign, but some regular names will surely be involved. Steve Ellul’s is also being backed by MaltaToday and Saviour Balzan and has been bankrolled by the Ministry of Energy and the Environment.
