Something that the band of merry propagandists and criminal operators in politics benefit from is dysfunction in the state and justice system. Crooks in politics need their propagandists more than honest politicians need lawyers and accountants, and the consequence of the lawlessness is also beneficial to organised criminals like Yorgen Fenech.
Yorgen Fenech can take advantage of the weaknesses of the system, and this is something that I am observing with attention, given that ultimately, it will serve Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri, and many others to keep Yorgen Fenech out of prison so that he doesn’t rat them out. Yorgen Fenech already feels betrayed and isolated by his previous “friends” and if he ends up with a lifetime prison sentence, he won’t be speaking: he will be squealing.
