Saviour Balzan has built a media empire in Malta that plays politics, and serves big business and organised criminals alike; of course, at the expense of his youthful ideas and the press industry in general in Malta. So, it is no surprising to know that the people who pay and fund him, especially government ministers who use him for their political campaigns, don’t have respect for him and speech between each other of MaltaToday as Malta’s “Beano”.
There are no surprises as to why MaltaToday is known as “The Beano” within government circles.
