Sponsoring MasterChef while trying to win it

It’s hilarious to me how some people make sure to squeeze all the opportunity they can from public events as if their lives depend on it, however, I assume this is how TV stars are born. Sometimes, however, the efforts of some to win public televised events may seem to be overarching, giving the impression that these events are also prone to undue influence.

So, like many of you, MasterChef (Malta) had my attention due to Victor Borg, who is making some very honest judgments, which is very refreshing in a country that contends itself with mediocrity. However, MasterChef (Malta) also comes with traditional Maltese family conspiracies, so it was no surprise for me to learn that two particular competitors are actually mother and daughter.

Kneeling on the front from the left of the photo is Pia Pellegrini Petit who is kneeling next to her own mother, Mireille Pellegrini Petit. Maybe, there’s nothing strange in this, and as it happens, sometimes, family members are brought to the same program for drama effect and whatnot. However, what is also noteworthy is that the Pellegrini Petits are directly related to one of the main sponsors of Master Chef, that is by being daughter and wife to Pierre Pellegrini Petit, a director of Attard & Co.

Attard & Co. have been also promoting the fact that they have sponsored MasterChef.

So, the executive producers of MasterChef, either accepted to onboard two participants referred to them by their sponsor as a condition for the sponsorship, or it’s simply an amazing coincidence that a mother and daughter are participating in a competition sponsored by their husband and father.

  1. that is not Mireille Pellegrini Petite 100%

    1. Must have said on the right of the photo not the left.

  2. Jane Webb avatar

This now famous chef, Victor Borg, who incidentally I hadn’t heard of, until the media plastered his “infamous comments” to a participant who presented a poor plate, certainly lacks all the charisma and personality any judge should have in front of a camera, then having the audacity to say he’s been trained by Gordon Ramsay is an insult to the famous chef. and the show itself . This is not about being a good chef with Michelin stars to your name , but much more than that. As usual, the Maltese are very good at being plagiarists.

  3. We already know who is the winner. I bet that there is a patt imxajtan between Attard & Co and Master Chef.
