Why do they hate Robert Aquilina of Repubblika so much?

The Chairperson of NGO, Repubblika has recently been described by the Labour government’s public gardener, Jason Micallef, as an “agent of hate”. Meanwhile, there is also a Facebook thread by one of Adrian Delia’s canvassers, Mark Giacchino, arguing that PN has been hijacked by Robert Aquilina and others of Repubblika and is holding the Nationalist Party back.

I have been following Repubblika’s work and Robert Aquilina quite well since I started writing on this website regularly. Robert Aquilina is a very soft-spoken and diplomatic person who is leading the fight against corruption and justice and Repubblika is active in many ways such as by regularly commemorating Daphne Caruana Galizia and fighting corruption in the courts. If you would simply observe carefully their activities and read their Press Releases, Repubblika is doing something very similar the Labour Party used to do when it was in Opposition.

I don’t recall Labour ever receiving the same treatment Robert Aquilina is currently receiving while being active in the Opposition. He is being publicly and verbally lynched by the ugly Labour Party types like Jason Micallef apart from having already received many threats. He’s also being attacked and threatened in public – as of recently, he was attacked in public whilst in the presence of his wife.

The Labour Party has fostered an authoritarian atmosphere in political discourse where government critics are depicted as traitors and enemies of the people.ย  Activists fighting corruption have become enemies of the people while corrupt politicians and organised criminals have become benevolent heroes.

We all know truly who the real enemy of the people is, however. Let’s hear it straight from the horse’s mouth.

Mark, wouldn’t you rather tweak this?……:

“Robert Aquilina is a very soft-spoken and diplomatic person who is leading the fight against corruption and justice and ….”

  2. He’s the most soft-spoken and diplomatic person leading a protest movement I have ever met. It’s kind of difficult to hate a person like him with with his calm way of explaining things, especially when he’s saying nothing wrong, in reality.

  3. If you read Animal farm and you think at Malta , there is no better novel describing the island. Heroes become criminals and criminals become heroes.

  4. “There is also a Facebook thread by one of Adrian Delia?s canvassers, Mark Giacchino, arguing that PN has been hijacked by Robert Aquilina and others of Repubblika and is holding the Nationalist Party back.”

Don’t expect any better from a gangsterino. Deliar has probably moved up a notch ( a degree or two) amongst the clandestine, criminal confederacy. Experienced freemasons become proficient at using servile agents to bolster their cause … whilst appearing totally innocent to everyone else, of course. And also for appearing to accomplish great deeds which actually cover up hidden agendas.

  5. […] Robert Aquilina has received a lot of online attacks against him, apart from being increasingly threatened and harassed in the street and in public, even when in the presence of his wife. He is extremely hated by many Labour Party officials and […]
