X’s CEO says they are protecting freedom of speech around the world, so it’s good to know whether they are collaborating with the Maltese police

X’s (x.com) CEO, Linda Yaccarino said that they are “protecting free speech around the world” as she retweeted a company announcement about a court case they fought in a Turkish court against government censorship. It is positive to see X.com’s proactive stance in challenging the Turkish government’s censorship, so it may also be good to know whether X is cooperating with the Maltese police over the Yorgen Fenech chat leaks published earlier this year on X.com by Mr Ranger. The Maltese Police have, earlier this year, stated in court that they have asked X.com for information, on Mr Ranger and their account. The company replied they would need a formal request by the Attorney-General, which I would assume by now has been made.
