Twitter has a history of not cooperating with the Maltese police regarding information requests

Twitter has a history of non-compliance with requests made to it by the Maltese police over information about its users. Requests increased in 2018. Interestingly, X.com is publishing its transparency reports in a different format since it was taken over by Elon Musk, and their latest transparency report indicates that X.com has received various requests from the Maltese Police for information, including cases related to “public security.” However, the report strangely does not mention whether it has complied with these requests or not.

Currently, the Maltese Police have asked X.com to provide information about Mr Ranger, who has been leaking content on X.com found in Yorgen Fenech’s phone.
