In today’s rendition of Labour Party politics resembling fascism and mafia-style politics, Alex Agius Saliba delivered a 15-minute diatribe against the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, before making a strong statement against abortion rights. Supposedly, Alex Agius Saliba is part of the “socialists and progressives” in the European Parliament or simply the S&D. Then came Dear Leader who lied once again about Opposition candidates on wanting to send “our Maltese children to fight other people’s wars” in another statement against European defense and security.
Labour’s electoral campaign for the European Parliament is developing into a suicidal mission of our national security. Already, Robert Abela is not trusted in Brussells and is now in the dark corner of untrustowrthy corrupt leaders with Viktor Orban. This means that Malta will not be privy to any confidential discussions on European defense and security. Basically, we are isolated and all alone on this matter. This attitude is very similar to how the Labour Party treated the issue of immigration in Brussells, with the consequence that Malta became isolated and Labour Ministers ended up begging other European leaders for help.
It doesn’t work that way. You are either part of a European community or you are not, and Malta is beginning to detach itself from the corridors of power in Brussels. Failing to understand that European security is tied with national security is a gross error of judgement, but also an opportunisti lie concocted for electoral purposes. The result will be the same as it was with the immigration issue. Given that Malta is making spokes in the wheels of a prospective European defense framework, Malta will be left to fend by itself on defense and security issues. And you can absolutely forget about intelligence sharing between our services and our foreign allies given that we are coming out as Russian appeasers.
This is not a responsible course of action for our country and these are not serious people.
