Yesterday, the Minister of Social Accomodation, Roderick Galdes gave a statement to Net News saying that the Maltese are getting richer and standards of living are getting better. I find it ironic that of all people it’s Roderick Galdes who would be making this statement, and it’s not only because people seeking social accomodation have only shot up during the consecutive Labour administrations.
During his years as junior minister and subsequently as cabinet minister, Roderick Galdes accumulated a property portfolio of up to 8 properties, two of which are abroad, one in the UK and another one in Sicily. The rest are in Malta and Gozo. There is also a detailed FIAU report about him which was sent to the Police for criminal action and several witnesses have also stepped forward to the police who made statements against Roderick Galdes. So far, the police have taken no action whatsoever.
Meanwhile, his canvassers who used to work in his ministry are busy promoting the rental of a villa in Sicily on their social media accounts, but I could not confirm the ownership of the property.
